Teams > Team Lynx

TimeLynx is a prototype system which allows internet users to search for and make appointments with local retailers and services. Enriched with a robust feature-set, TimeLynx merges the worlds of function and design into a rich user experience. Combined with PortoLynx’s existing infrastructure and solid customer base, TimeLynx has a solid foundation from which to build a successful web application.

Our system allows clients to filter search results, request appointments, pay for services, and interact with retailers online and in real-time. Via mobile devices, retailers can interact with clients any place at any time. The prototype system allows retailers to accept, decline, or re-schedule appointments. Retailers will be able to create online calendars, as well as view or edit their calendars at an organizational or employee level.

The TimeLynx team comprises of capable and experienced students who are keen to start work on a new addition to the PortoLynx infrastructure. Przemek Lach’s background is comprised of both database design and project management. For this project, he was responsible for translating business rules into database logic. He was also responsible for the majority of the documentation and managing deliverable deadlines.

Mike Rogers has focused his experience on web design by applying modern design methods and technologies to implement rich, interactive, and user-friendly interfaces. In his past projects, Mike has strived to stay unique by creating structured web applications with eye-catching designs. This Capstone project has allowed him to develop his creativity by expanding on the client’s needs, as well as presenting an exceptional product that will stand out among others.

Adam Dahlquist has been employed by PortoLynx as a web developer for the past year. He has brought his knowledge of PortoLynx's systems to the team, as well as his experience in developing robust and reusable web applications. His familiarity of software systems as a whole has allowed him to take on the role as technical lead in this project. Along with designing how the application's business logic, interface, and control will interact, he has also written the software that supports this infrastructure.
