The Human Resources Department at ACD Systems needs a
system for tracking vacation time, sick time, and overtime.
The system will:
- Accept employee submissions/requests for vacation and sick time.
- Allow employees to view vacation balance and leave history.
- Log these submissions to a database.
- Create approval requests and send them to management via e-mail.
- Record Management decisions related to these submissions.
- Allow an administrator to enter and adjust the balance of every employee's
vacation time.
- Record time off against the employee's balance.
- In addition, the system will function as a visual reporting tool for human
resources and company management/leads.
Reports will be available which will include, but not be limited to:
- Hours worked (by Employee)
- Vacation time requested and booked (by Employee)
- Vacation time requested booked (by Department)
The application will run on an IIS server and must integrate
with existing SQL Server employee data. The network environment
is a Windows 2000 Active Directory network and security
will be a major requirement. The application will be written
in asp.NET and C#.
