Abstract:
The Magneto(Copyright Marvel Comics) release promises to offer significant
architectural improvements, as well as some new features hitherto
unknown in the paleomagnetic world. This release will add a three-dimensional
graphing view which will allow paleomagnetic data to viewed as it
was meant to be. A serial interface has also been added which will
allow researchers to acquire data directly from a magnetometer and
plot it in real time.
The new architecture is completely modular and should allow independent
developers to easily add new capabilities to the application. The
new release also promises to be faster and less memory intensive.
Tying directly into the Microsoft COM architecture, this application
harnesses the full power of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
PMGSC is a serious Application for serious science. |
