Abstract:
The Integrated Web Client (IWC) application was developed as a means
of supporting the delivery of geographic data across a world wide
network. The application is developed entirely in Java. It uses XML
and Java Servlets to deliver maps and related documents regardless
of their content and format.
Sponsored by Swiftsure Spatial Systems and Pacific Forestry Centre
the Tsunami Project Team has been updating and revising the IWC. Java
WebStart will be used to distribute the application over the web.
The original source code has been repackaged and documented in order
to enable future development to proceed quickly and efficiently. When
completed, the IWC will allow people from around the world to access
the program, and have the latest version installed on their computers
at all times. |
