Sentinel Power is developing an inverter for use in remote areas where access to grid power is impractical or non-existent. The inverter will provide approximately 500W of RMS power with the ability to network with other units. The modular design of this inverter gives it the potential to aid remote operations by providing AC power from existing DC sources.

Sendwithus called for upgrades to their existing CSS Inliner, which is an open source project found on GitHub.com. The purpose of the CSS Inliner is to read clients’ CSS and reformat it so it is compatible with email clients. The Capstone team will be fixing challenges including media query formatting, error reporting, and extracting metadata.

The KeyStone Intercom is a smart intercom that allows visitors of a multitenant establishment to personally contact building tenants via a phone notification triggered from an intercom. Tenants are able to manage their own data, including contact schemes and notification forwarding.
The Self-Balancing team has developed a 3D printed, modular, two wheeled, self-balancing robot designed for the aspiring electronics enthusiast. The robot has its own personality made possible by LEDs, video output and speakers. Other features include advanced collision detection and remote control via voice commands, a phone application or a PS3 remote.
The DaVinci Node is a proof-of-concept project proving that it is feasible to use the ESP2866 chip as a remote option for a home automation system hosted by a Raspberry Pi. The project uses an open-source operation platform called OpenHAB, and communicates over WiFi using the MQTT protocol. The project operates on a small scale, controlling three items: a fan, a light, and a set of blinds. The devices are controlled by a common electrical circuit, allowing a physical switch to be used as well as the digital controls.

AIS will increase productivity by reducing the time users require to retrieve desired information.
