Introduction
Outpost Technical provides a critical service to the local film industry - managing the upload of daily shoot recordings for editing and review. Today, that process demands significant manual effort and careful data entry from every person involved. Our team set out to change that by building an intuitive desktop application that automates the workflow from start to finish, giving users real-time visibility into every transfer along the way.

Nevan McLarty
(Backend/Full-Stack Developer)Nevan channels his lifelong interest in technology into solving complex problems with interesting, clean software. Utilizing his co-op experience building robust systems in Golang and TypeScript, he designed and developed this project’s backend architecture and effectively integrated IBM Aspera’s software tooling. Growing up on the Gulf Islands, he developed a love for the outdoors, so he enjoys hiking in nature and skiing at Mount Washington.
Matthew Golshani
(Frontend/Full-Stack Developer)Matthew is a former Red Seal chef turned junior software developer with a strong foundation in frontend technologies. On this project, he leads the design and implementation of the application's graphical user interface (GUI) using Electron, TypeScript, and Node.js. Matthew has a keen eye for how software looks and feels, and takes care to ensure the applications he builds are ones people actually enjoy using. He is excited to bring that same attention to detail he applies in the kitchen into his new career.
