Project description:
Presently RCA has about 12,000 members but does not have an accurate or comprehensive way of storing membership information. To solve this problem 3g Consulting has built a web-based membership registration system for RCA. The system allows new and current members to register online and pay their fees. RCA, rowing clubs and provincial rowing associations can manage their own membership categories and generate various reports about their members.

Project description:
The guitar effects processor will feature a seven inch LCD touch screen as the primary user interface. It will include one 1/4 inch guitar input, two 1/4 inch outputs (left and right channels), and a 1/8 inch stereo headphone output. It will be powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery that can be charged with a 9V DC adapter. We will develop a wireless foot pedal as an accessory to the effects processor. This will enable the unit to be used while the guitarist plays on stage in a performance setting.

This tool facilitates notifying staff regarding employees who are newly hired, departing, or experiencing a job, department, location, or contract change. It gathers the required information from managers and other staff, and then forwards that information in the form of tasks which employees will need to complete. These tasks include such actions as adding an employee to a database, or setting up required hardware and software. Additionally, this tool archives all data in a database and allows for comprehensive reporting. The tool is a web-based application coded in the C# language and uses an SQL database.

Theatrical Outdoor Torch

Team Name:
Digital Flame Tech

Team members:
From left to right: Chrispin Ng'ang'a, Mathew Drouin, Alina Jacobson

Project description:
Digital Flame Tech has been commissioned by a local client to design an eco-friendly outdoor theatrical torch. The new flame design will use LED (Light-Emitting Diode) technology; our group will generate software to control the LEDs to simulate a flame lighting effect. The flame is a polished stainless steel sculpture that the LEDs will project their light onto. Our design will be able to withstand extreme weather conditions and have an approximate lifespan of 30 years. This torch design will eliminate the harmful carbon emissions produced by conventional gas burning torches.

SRC development

Project name:
ExcelSystems Development Mailing List System

Team Name:
SRC development

Team members:
From left to right: Curtis St.Pierre, Steve Dick, Ryan Bluemel

Project description:
We, SRC Development, are making a mailing list and tracking system for ESDI. We will create a system for user-driven emails that will supplement the existing quarterly newsletter. This existing newsletter is a non-detailed overview of products and news of the company. Our mailing list system will allow users to be in control of what emails they receive. The mailing list will be maintained by the support staff of ESDI. Staff members will be able to change or add to existing mailing lists. This mailing list will give users more frequent updates on available company products and features.
