Step back in time and experience the thrill of classic pinball as you’ve never seen it before! Our “Pinball Revival” project tackles the unique challenge of bringing a beloved piece of Camosun College’s history back to life—a modified 1980s Gottlieb Panthera System 80 pinball machine that was last worked on by students in 2007. Over time, the machine fell into disrepair, but we’re proud to carry on its legacy by fully restoring its original gameplay and upgrading the internals with modern electronics.

With a Raspberry Pi at the core, we’ve added wireless testing capabilities that allow us to troubleshoot components efficiently. Custom-printed circuit boards power the pop bumpers and LED lighting, while our careful rewiring and component testing have brought new life to every part of the system.

Join us at the capstone symposium this December to see how we’ve brought this iconic machine back to life for the Camosun community, blending timeless game design with cutting-edge innovation.
