Welcome to the June 2010 Camosun College Capstone Symposium website. This site will give you some background information about Camosun College and the Capstone Program, as well as introduce you to this year's students and their projects.
Capstone is the final major project of Camosun's Computer Systems Technology (CST) and Electronics Engineering programs. Grouped into teams of two- to four-person teams for up to six months, CST students work with real-world clients to produce a diverse array of information technology solutions while developing the practical skills required of every step of the software development lifecycle. Electronics Engineering students develop exciting projects either in conjuction with a client or with an interested faculty member.
The Symposium showcases the graduating students' finished products, and - as the Symposium itself is organized and run by the students - the students' public speaking and event planning skills are on display as well. Students raised funds from local business sponsors, designed and printed all posters, brochures and displays, organized the venue and food catering, and emcee the entire event.
If you are planning on attending the Capstone Symposium, please remember to register. Registration enters you into the draw for the door prizes.
