Dirk Britton
Dirk is a former restaurant owner who now owns and operates DarkBlack Endeavour. He has been working as an engineer for 20 years and built the DarkBlack application for his restaurant, but decided to work on the system full time to expand the product and start providing it to other local businesses.

Geoff is a distinguished memebr of the security industry. Primarily focusing on investigation, and security consulting.
Julia Morgan
Julia has been passionate and working with horses all her life. She is a certified Advanced FEEL® practitioner. FEEL® stands for Facilitated Equine Experiential Learning®, and horses are a very active participant in the process. Using a horse-led series of exercises, equine experiential learning works with the horse’s natural sensitivity to physical movement and emotional states to help people gain self-knowledge and acquire skills leading to personal growth through positive life changes.
Smart Controller Inc
Smart Controller Inc is a small business owned by Mike Cowland. They specialize in small control hardware and software. The Fermentation control system is the preliminary project for the company after the Smart Controller boards.
Market Day
Adam Beech has been an app developer for five years and started working in the mobile industry just a couple years after graduating the CST programme at Camosun. In that time, Adam has taken a much greater interest in what problems can be solved through mobile that have previously been unsolved by traditional web solutions. The app is modelled on the idea that all relevant information on a particular activity (in this case, farmer's markets) can be more accessible by concentrating it on a mobile platform. While this model isn't totally new, it's also not highly developed either. This project is an experiment to see if this model of app can be self-sustaining and beneficial to the average user.
Pacific Forestry
The Pacific Forestry Centre (PFC) is one of five research centres within the Canadian Forest Service. Its research priorities include:
forest entomology and pathology, fire management, forest inventory and monitoring, climate change, economic and market research, and canadian wood fibre centre.
Peter Burrage
Peter, formerly the Chair of the Civil Engineering Department is an instructor employed with Camosun College. His area of interest are structural engineering and computer applications.
Project SMILE
Matthew Riddett is a return sponsor for the program’s Capstone project. He has a longstanding interest in educational technology which inspired him to develop tools to help children with non-verbal autism overcome literacy challenges. Dale Chan is a Camosun College alumni and former project lead on the SMILE project in the previous year. Matthew and Dale are excited to further develop the concept into an application that can make an impact on the lives of children.
